  • Company Overview: Founder and President, Larry started out "in the trenches" so to speak, using the tools of the trade. He began with residential painting in New York, painting several hundred homes each year for a period of 5 years. Larry then went with Meeha RICHARD, LARRY, LARRY, JR.n Decorating in Manhattan, where they put finishes on such commercial offices as "Vogue" and "Mademoiselle." And then they finished high fashion department establishments such as Lord & Taylor, Forbes & Wallace, McAlpins, Caster Knott, etc. Larry came to S. C., established his own company, and remains in charge of the day-to-day operation of the business.THE PDCA LOGO: SIGN OF QUALITY Larry has been very active in the Painting and Decorating Contractors of America, or P.D.C.A. -- both locally and on the national level, for over 25 years, and he continues to be very involved in that organization. Twice he has received "Member of the Year" award from the NC/SC Council of PDCA --- in 1991 and in January of 1998. He has served on the National Board of Directors, representing the Carolinas' Council. Larry has been very instrumental in the establishment of the N.C./S.C. Scholarship Foundation (PDCA) and received the honor of having it named "The Larry Echerer Scholarship Foundation."
    He has always been an enthusiastic supporter of the civic/charity projects that the PDCA has annually. Larry has been very active in other civic and community projects for quite some time. He has been involved as a mentor in the adopt-a-friend program at the H. E. Corley elementary school,A.S.A LOGO: PROMOTING PROFESSIONALISM and received the outstanding business award from the S. C. "Friends of the Library." He is also active in the local Optimist Club, serving as President and also Secretary/Treasurer. Larry has been President of the Columbia Chapter of A.S.A. (American Subcontractors Association) since 2000.
