Comments: I would like to complement the Painting Oregon team that did my little 1931 house: Dan, Jim and Brad (I hope I got all the names right, not good keeping names and faces together). Anyway ... Starting with the bidding process, Painting Oregon was on time, listened to what I wanted and what my main concerns were and did a thorough job of itemizing each part of the project. Painting Oregon was not the least expensive nor the most but it was the most thorough. Once all of the items were agreed to, the paperwork for the contract arrived. It was nicely done, easy to understand and the down payment and final payment issues well explained. The additional materials dealing with the removal of the lead paint was appreciated and understandable. My main concern throughout the project was that the newly blown in insulation not be damaged by pressure washing which would likely push water into the insulation. The entire crew was well aware of this major concern and adapted their usual procedures to insure that there was no water damage to the insulation. I am very appreciative of that. The garage and sunroom were not insulated and those areas were done normally and that was as it should be. There were several problems that came up due to the age of the house and the layers of paint already on the exterior. All of the problems were handled well and resulted in a better final paint project for me. All of the pipes, outlets, wires, house numbers, etc were removed and replaced and look better than before. What ever other items that I had/could not move out of the way, the crew did and returned them to their spots after all the work was done. The crew cleaned up each day and kept the stored materials in such a way that I could get my vehicle in and out of the garage as necessary. I was not home during most of the painting but upon inspection each day realized the crew was doing a fine job. I had nothing to be concerned about. In fact here is a nice compliment as well. I went to Sherwin-Williams to pick out the paint colors and to be sure that the color could be mixed into the paint base I had ordered. The clerk asked me if I was doing the painting, no I said, I have hired a contractor. He asked who. I said Painting Oregon; he said they are my best customer. That was the icing on the cake for me -- no one would be buying that much paint from one source without a really, really good reputation. Ta da. I picked a good one! So thank you Painting Oregon, Brad and the crew that did my little home on Wygant it looks fabulous!!!! Sunshine, Mary
